Clean Bixolon Cutter Head

Issue: Bixolon printers are not cutting labels from Fusion Prep normally when printing multiple labels.

 

Requirements: Damp cloth and/or alcohol wipes

 

1.  Be sure the printer is powered off.

 

2.  Open printer and remove paper

 

3.  Find the plastic serrated edge where the labels tear on the top of the printer.

 

4.  Pull that piece up and away from the printer to expose a metal panel with a white knob.

 

 

5.  Turn the white knob clockwise till you can’t anymore exposing the label cutter.

 

 

6.  Inspect for debris or build up. Take a damp cloth and remove any paper and/or debris you see.

 

 

7.  Take an alcohol wipe and clean the blade to remove any excess glue/adhesive from the blade.

 

 

8.  Rotate knob counterclockwise till cutter is flush with printer like it was when you first opened it.

9.  Put plastic serrated panel back and add paper.

10.  Print 10 labels of flour from fusion prep to verify the labels are being cut correctly.

11.  If labels are still not cutting correctly, please open a ticket with the Help Desk. Please indicate that you have already gone through the cleaning process in the ticket.
